THOMPSON RESERVE

Public BBQ

Thompson Reserve offers a pleasant suburban escape with its well-maintained barbecue facilities and expansive grassed areas perfect for family gatherings. The playground draws families with children, featuring climbing rocks and trees that double as natural adventure equipment. A concrete walking circuit winds through the park, complemented by exercise stations for fitness enthusiasts. The location proves convenient, positioned right by the No. 48 tram stop on Keilor Road with easy public transport access. However, visitors should note the absence of public toilets - though McDonald's nearby provides an alternative. While the park generally maintains its appeal as a sunny spot for relaxation, occasional litter and broken glass can require extra vigilance, particularly for families with young children and pets. The barbecue area and open spaces make it ideal for community gatherings in this suburban setting.
